Deleting a Defined Context

Once a DataFlex DBMS application context is defined it may be deleted if it is no longer required.  Or it may be deleted so that a new context using that name may be defined (although any change to the context could also be made using the update facility).  To delete a context it must first be selected and then the Delete button pressed as in this example:

When the Delete button is pressed a dialog like the one at the right will be presented to the user.  Answer this dialog with the Yes button to allow deletion of the context to occur.  Or, when the delete request was not intended, press the No button to cancel the deletion and leave the context definition unaffected.

When the Yes button was pressed to answer the dialog the selected context will be removed from the list in the left pane and, because it was the selected context, there will not be a selection in the left list.  That also means that the right pane of the main window will be empty to indicate that all of the files (and the subfolder which held them) have been deleted.  And the “StatusBar” content will show the name of the context that was just deleted (along with the current date and time).
