Syscob has been assisting exporters since 1995 by providing an agency service to obtain their electronic clearances from both the Australian Customs Service [ACS] and the Australian Quarantine Inspection Service [AQIS]. These “electronic clearances” are the Export Declaration Number [EDN] from ACS and the Export Permit Number [EPN] obtained via a Request for Permit [RFP].
Syscob extended the agency service to include the Pre Receival Advice [PRA] for either 1-Stop or DP World when EDI for these documents, which replaced the paper ERA, became available in mid-2004. And when electronic Forwarding Instructions [FI] became available Syscob offered them to their agency clients as well.
