The Export-It application only requires complete access permissions to three folders [directories]. Two are specific to the application and one is mandated by the wide range of Windows versions supported. These are:
Full control of platform "local" folder named "ExportIt" in the root directory of a drive letter (including all contents and sub-folders). Every computer which has the application installed must have its own platform "local" folder in the root of the Platform "local" Drive letter.
Full control of database "server" folder named "ExportIt" in the root directory of a, usually network, drive letter (including all contents and sub-folders). All users on all computers must map to the same share—the Database "server" Drive letter.
Full control of user "Windows" directory, but not necessarily the “real” Windows directory (see User "Windows" Folder topic). Access to its sub-folders is not required.
Note that during the initial installation for a database or platform the entire Platform "local" Drive and Database "server" Drive letters is necessary to allow creation of the application folders in their root directories. But once created only the folders and their contents will be accessed.
It is a site responsibility to ensure that the permissions listed above exist for all users of the Syscob application.
